Quick Center's New Season features Brilliant Comedy, Sizzling Jazz
Fairfield University’s Quick Center for the Arts raises the curtain on its bold, dynamic new 2014-2015 season with an opening weekend filled with brilliant comedy and sizzling jazz.
Opening night honors go to Broadway's Next Hit Musical, a laugh-out-loud musical comedy improv performance taking place at 8 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014. Hailed as “brilliant” by TheaterWeek and “hilarious” by The New York Times, Broadway's Next Hit Musical is an award-winning unscripted show performed by a talented troupe of New York City-based actors, each a master improviser, who collect suggested hit song ideas from the audience, and then present a spontaneous evening of music, humor, and laughter. The audience votes for its favorite song and watches as the cast turns it into a full blown improvised musical – complete with memorable characters, witty dialogue, and plot twists galore. Comedy fans and musical theatre lovers alike will enjoy this hilarious show, where every song is fresh, every scene is new, and every night is different. Reserved tickets are $45, $40, and $35; Fairfield University students: $5.
