Editor's Note: Our lovely Rachel Bouton had so much to say about our Oklahoma tour that we split it into two posts. So, for you traveling to the Sooner state sooner rather than later, here are some great spots to hit up while you're in Oklahoma City.

Leaving was bitter sweet, but I had to head back to NY before I burst a button on my pants (like I said, you can literally deep fry anything) but I was glad to have gotten an all too brief #Oklahomecoming.
And now, on to what you really care about...FOOD! If you find yourself in Oklahoma, make sure to eat at ALL THESE PLACES (but don’t wear a belt).
Big Truck Tacos - deep fried avocado taco? Don’t mind if I do.
Cheevers - Dear God, the Chicken Fried Steak with Jalapeño gravy is a revelation
Cafe Antigua - Awesome Guatemalan food in Oklahoma? Who knew.
Eischen’s - All they sell is fried chicken, fried Okra, and beer...but who needs anything else?
Brown’s Bakery - I still have dreams about their apple fritters
