Getting back up to do the show last night after a break of several months was a fun and scary thing! I consider myself a seasoned improviser. I perform improvisation usually 3-5 times a week. I tend these days to not feel nervous before a show as much as excited and yet Broadway's Next Hit Musical still makes me nervous. It is a challenging show to do because there is so much to keep in mind and yet the ultimate trick is to not really keep much in mind at all except the present moment. Add to that the fact that we hadn't done the show in awhile and you get a nice healthy dose of nerves. So, what is the antidote to this nervousness? It's to relax and relate to the audience in a true fun way and to remember that we are all in it together. Cheezy but true!Oh yeah and btw...whoever thought of the song title, "Yoko Ono"...hilarious!Come see our show again next Friday at 10!
