Deb Rabbai on Flexibility
by Deb Rabbai
Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted to be able to do a split. I took ballet classes and I would stretch every day but somehow I was nowhere nearer to doing a split than I was before I started trying. When I have spoken to people who can do a split one of the things they mention is how flexible they are. The way to get so flexible is to stretch.

Now, even though I’ve been talking about doing a split the same can be said for working with other people. The idea of being flexible and not getting married to one idea or one way of doing things can be so valuable. In this context, challenging yourself in the way you approach something can be rewarding in gaining some new skills. So can stretching yourself in situations where you might need to work with other people.
An Improviser’s Insurance Policy
